Discipline question - The discipline question is an open-ended question that appears on many American college applications. In addition to transcripts, recommendations, and college entrance exams, students are expected, on applications that present this "question" to submit descriptions of any disciplinary incidents throughout their high school career.
Open Ended - Open-ended refers to a situation in poker where the player has four of five cards needed for a straight that can be completed at either end. For example, a player with 2♥ 3♥ 4♣ 5♠is open-ended, because an ace or a six would give the player a straight.
Elementary mathematics - Elementary mathematics consists of mathematics topics frequently taught at the primary and secondary school levels. The most basic are arithmetic and geometry.
Open-ended - The term open-ended (non-linear or freeform can also be used) refers to dynamic situations or scenarios (specifically in computer and video games) that allow the individual to determine the outcome, rather than result in a predetermined one.
