Coordinate Grid

Universal Polar Stereographic coordinate system - The Universal Polar Stereographic (UPS) coordinate system is used in conjunction with the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinate system to locate positions on the surface of the earth. Like the UTM coordinate system, the UPS coordinate system uses a metric-based cartesian grid laid out on a conformally projected surface.

Rectilinear grid - A rectilinear grid is a grid that has a regular topology but not a regular geometry; the spacing in each coordinate direction is variable.

Grid reference - A grid reference is a standard method for the location of a point on a map. The grid itself is a coordinate system imposed on the map, and is numbered in such a way as to provide a unique way to identify any given feature.

Swiss coordinate system - The Swiss coordinate system (or Swiss grid) is a geographic coordinate system used in Switzerland for maps and surveying by the Swiss Federal Office of Topography (Swisstopo).

Oracle 10g Grid & Real Application Clusters: Oracle 10g Grid Computing with Rac
Revealing the secrets for quickly implementing coordinate grid and tuning Oracle RAC database systems, this book covers all areas of Oracle Real Application Clusters including Oracle10g new features. Oracle DBAs who are charged with configuring coordinate grid and implementing a RAC clusters database will benefit from this complete guide to the installation as well as configuration coordinate grid and design of Oracle Real Application Clusters. Information is supplied on expert internals of shared disk technology, raw devices coordinate grid and RAID with RAC, the internal concurrency, resource coordination, coordinate grid and the locking mechanism within RAC. Also explained are Transparent Application Failover (TAF) coordinate grid and monitoring coordinate grid and tuning Oracle10g RAC applications.
